Day Twenty Four

This afternoon, we had our lesson with our Chinese lecturer – Mrs. Shi. We learnt that although Hubei is located at center part of China, but most of them picked up the northern dialect, which is very interesting.

In China, special policies and privileges given to the special people. For example, the minorities in China. They are given special privileges that the Hans people are so envy with. The special privilege is about the family planning. In every Hans family, they are only limited to have one children. However, the minorities like the Tibetan, Hui Zhu, Miao Zhu, are granted exception for the family planning.

Then, we also told that Wuhan is divided into three parts. Wu Chang, Han Kou, and Han Yang. The three of the cities are built up by different type of economy. In Wu Chang, it is the central of education. You can find many degree students here. In Han Kou, it is a commercial centre. If you are bored, or want to have some night life, you are advisable to go Han Kou. In Han Yang, it is a manufacturing centre.

We are told that, the three cities have different type of standard of living. Due to mass competitiveness, surprisingly Han Kou as a commercial city has the lowest standard of living among all. Therefore, our lecturer told us that people likes to work in Wu Chang and Han Yang, and spend in Han Kou. This is the joke she told us.
